Geometry - Week 14: Lesson 1: Area of Triangles Continued
In this lesson, we will continue to practise solving the area of triangles. We will also review the different types of triangles.

We find the area of a triangle by multiplying the base x height, and then dividing by 2.
The base can be any side of the triangle, but it is often easiest to use the bottom side.
The height is the distance from the base to the opposite corner (hörn).
The base and the height are always perpendicular to each other (vinkelrät).
Example:

base: 4 cm
height: 6 cm
6 x 4 = 24
24 divided by 2 = 12
Area = 12 cm2
