In this lesson, students will examine a timetable, which includes arrival and departure times. They will need to determine lengths of time as well as applying the table to real-life situations.

Some tourists want to stop at each dock and explore every place that the river boat visits. Find out if it is possible to leave Faringdon, get off at every dock, get back on another river boat each time and return to Faringdon at the end of the day. If so, work out an itinerary, including how long they can spend at each place.
