Rational numbers and their properties.
Main methods of calculating using natural numbers and simple numbers in decimal form when calculating approximations, mental arithmetic, and calcu lations using written methods and calculators. Using the methods in different situations.
How patterns in number sequences and geometrical patterns can be constructed, described and expressed.
Strategies for mathematical problem-solving in everyday situations
Mathematical formulation of questions based on everyday situations.
Students should remember place value and show an understanding of simple addition

Place Value Vocabulary:
Units/Ones (Places): Enheter
Tens (Place): Tiotal
Review of correct column methods for adding and subtracting, review of place value.
Students should show an understanding of simple subtraction
Using column methods for addition and subtraction of 2-digit and 3-digit numbers.
Looking at the relationship between numbers, putting numbers in order using place value knowledge

Looking at odd and even numbers, using knowledge of place value to arrange numbers in a sequence
Beginning knowledge on muiltiplication, learning times tables facts.

Students will show an understanding of 2 and 3 digit multiplication

Students will show an understanding of simple (1-digit) division
Fact Family - A fact family is a group of four statements each of which represent the same meaning. Fact families contain 3 numbers and 2 types of operations. There are 2 types of fact families: addition and subtraction fact families; multiplication and division fact families.
e.g. 2 + 3 = 5, 3 + 2 = 5, 5 - 2 = 3, 5 - 2 = 3 and 2 x 3 = 6, 3 x 2 = 6, 6 / 2 = 3, 6 / 3 = 2
Division is the opposite of multiplication & Division is the action of separating something into equal parts
4 different strategies to represent division: Fact Families, Groups, Skip Counting and Repeated Subtraction
Review of Short division and knowledge of multiplication facts.
Review of short division: How does short division relate to long division?

Today, we will mark our checkpoints and go over the answers together as a class. This is also an opportunity for me as the teacher to demonstrate how to solve any questions from the checkpoint that students struggled with.
Students will have a final opportunity to discuss any questions they have before the assessment next lesson.
