Objective (Teaching Point): To know that percentage is the number of parts per 100 to recognize equivalent percentages, fractions and decimals to convert between fractions and decimals This lesson will be an extension of the previous lesson. to convert fractions to decimals quickly, give students access to calculators. This is especially helpful for students with difficulties dividing. A calculator will also help these students convert from a decimal to a percentage. Try to convert fractions with denominators of 6, 7 and 9 into percents. Ex. What is 5/6 and 2/7 as a percent?
